The Central Minnesota Boys Choir has already earned a reputation for excellence and artistry. The group has performed at the Upper Mid-West District Convention of the Associated Male Choruses of America, has appeared at Orchestra Hall with the Metropolitan Boys Choir, and has sung at the Minnesota Music Educator’s Association Mid-Winter Clinic in Minneapolis.
They have toured to Duluth, Minneapolis, Grand Forks, Jamestown, and Winnipeg. The choir regularly gets together with many boys choirs from the state of Minnesota, including yearly visits with the Land of Lakes Choirboys organization.
As of the 2011-2012 Season, the choir has expanded to include TWO choirs: The Voyageur Choir and the Explorer Choir. The Voyageur Choir is the touring choir, made up of boys who have had more experience with singing and traveling, and have shown growth in areas of leadership and behavior. The Explorer Choir is made up of our youngest, less experienced singers. They participate in concerts and day trips as scheduled. |
