Boys are eligible to join the Choir after finishing the second grade and can sing with the group as long as they have an unchanged voice. New members sing in the Explorer Choir when first accepted into membership and can be invited to join the Voyageur Choir when the director deems necessary. Both choirs meet on Thursday evenings in Staples. The Explorer Choir rehearses from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, and the Voyageur Choir meets from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Auditions are held in the spring in the Staples area. For auditions, boys are expected to learn a simple song, read rhythm patterns, echo vocal patterns and display an interest in being part of the choir. Boys must make a commitment to being at rehearsals and performances.
